'The composition of the image by Olaf has had the biggest role in the realization of my interpretation, but I also sought for anonymity in my own image. Unlike Olaf and his image, I like to mingle in the background'. - Maarten Alexander

Maarten Alexander
Together with fashion designer Sjaak Hullekes, Maarten created 'Not All That, 2012'. Erwin Olaf's photograph 'Elle Fashion #2' was the inspiration for Maarten's image, which is on display at &Foam, Vijzelstraat 78, until 17 March 2013.

Maarten is a self-taught photographer from Rotterdam. He has had work published for the likes of Glamcult and 1883 Magazine.
